About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure and reliable network architectures (LAN, WLAN, WAN) to meet evolving business needs.
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot a variety of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Proactively monitor network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
- Lead and participate in network upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Automate routine network tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical expertise.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest network technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in network engineering with a proven track record of success in enterprise environments.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and network security concepts.
- Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and/or other industry-standard network equipment.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SNMP, Wireshark).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with network automation tools
- Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network) a plus.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and network security best practices.
