India's Renewable Energy Transition: Avaada's Role
India is the world’s fourth-largest producer of renewable energy, with renewable sources contributing nearly 50% of the country’s installed power capacity. India has set an ambitious target of 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030, and renewable energy companies in India are central to achieving it.
Avaada’s renewable energy solutions are designed for this scale. We develop, finance, build, and operate utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid projects — and we are vertically integrating into solar PV manufacturing and green molecules to give our customers cost certainty and long-term energy security.
Our Renewable Energy Solutions
Avaada offers an end-to-end portfolio of renewable energy solutions across the clean-power value chain — generation, storage, green fuels, and manufacturing.
Wind Energy
Onshore wind projects have been developed across India’s high-resource wind zones in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Explore wind energy at Avaada
Solar–Wind Hybrid & C&I Open Access
Round-the-clock clean power for corporates seeking RE100 compliance, scope-2 decarbonisation, and competitive open-access tariffs. See C&I open access power.
Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS)
Grid-scale battery storage that firms up variable renewable supply and supports India’s 24×7 clean energy ambitions. Read about our BESS offering.
Pumped Hydro Storage
Long-duration energy storage for grid balancing, peak shifting, and reserve capacity. See our pumped hydro storage capability.
Green Hydrogen, Ammonia & Methanol
Green molecules for hard-to-abate sectors — green hydrogen, green ammonia, green methanol
Why Avaada is Among the Best Renewable Energy Companies in India
Five reasons Avaada is recognised as one of the best renewable energy companies in India:
- Scale you can rely on — approximately 7.2 GWp commissioned, with 11 GWp targeted by 2026 and 30 GWp by 2030. We consistently rank among the largest renewable energy companies in India by operational portfolio size.
- World record on execution — we commissioned the world’s largest single-location solar power plant (1.25 GWp at Bikaner, Rajasthan), proving our ability to execute giga-scale projects on time.
- Geographic diversification — projects across Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Haryana, reducing single-state regulatory and resource risk.
- Fully integrated value chain — generation (solar, wind), storage (BESS, pumped hydro), green molecules (H₂, NH₃, methanol, SAF), and in-house solar PV manufacturing — a depth of integration few Indian renewable energy companies match.
Global capital, Indian roots — backed by Brookfield and PTT Thailand, operating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Our Renewable Energy Projects in India (State-wise)
Our renewable energy projects in India span nine states — with major commissioned capacity in Rajasthan (2,116 MWp), Gujarat (1,575 MWp), Maharashtra (1,013 MWp), Karnataka (792.56 MWp), Madhya Pradesh (279 MWp), Uttar Pradesh (169 MWp), Bihar (71.75 MWp), Tamil Nadu (65 MWp) and Haryana (50 MWp), plus a further ~5 GWp under implementation.
One of World's Largest Single-Location Solar Plants — 1.25 GWp, Bikaner
At Bikaner, Rajasthan, Avaada has commissioned a 1,250 MWp (1.25 GWp) solar power plant — one of the world’s largest single-site solar installations. National Geographic India’s documentary “Rays of Change” features this project as a case study in giga-scale solar deployment.
This single project alone generates enough clean energy to power roughly 800,000–1,000,000 Indian households annually and avoids approximately 2.4 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
Sustainability, ESG & Certifications
Avaada operates to international management-system standards — ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety). Our ESG framework is independently reviewed and aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy), 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure) and 13 (Climate Action).
