Job description

 

• Develop concept and detailed designs for DC side systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Perform system sizing, layout, and configuration to maximize energy yield and minimize losses.
• Monitor and analyse DC side system performance data to identify opportunities for optimization, troubleshooting issues related to shading, soiling, mismatch, and other factors affecting energy yield.
• Specify and select appropriate DC equipment’s / components, including solar panels, inverters, combiner boxes, and related equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and advancements in DC system components.
• Able to prepare technical specifications of Cables, SCB, DC BoS supply and services for vendor evaluation and prepare Technical Evaluation reports ( TER) of various packages.
• Vendor detailed engineering drawing / documents approval, and approval with external stake holders.
• Able to resolve the queries of lenders for DC related engineering.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes and project milestones.
• Able to prepare comparison on software data for accurately estimate the radiation.
• Able to prepare all RFC drawing like DC trench layout , Cable Schedule , SCB layout , string drawings , Various execution philosophy etc.

 

Educational Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the design, of solar power systems, with a focus on DC Engineering.

 

Other Requirements

 

• Have worked with large scale Solar Plant.
• Proven expertise in PV array design, string sizing, combiner box configuration, and cable routing.
• Strong understanding of DC electrical systems, including inverters, Module, fuses, breakers, SMU / SMB,
• Good knowledge for DC cable, sizing calculation, well versed with various cabling philosophy.
• Hands-on experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing DC systems for maximum energy production.
• Good Exposure of energy yield analysis by simulation software like PV system, Hilos , PV case etc.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, and UL, as well as best practices for solar plant design and operation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to sustainability and renewable energy.
