वो जो मुश्किलों का अंबार है, वहीं तो मेरे हौसलों की मीनार है| – PM Shri Narendra Modi
Heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on achieving a historic third term. As Modi 3.0 begins, I reflect on his exceptional and bold leadership during Modi 1.0 and 2.0, which has inspired billions around the world, including myself. He truly embodies the spirit and aspirations of all Indians, who have entrusted him with their hopes and dreams. His journey from humble beginnings to the highest office in the land is not just a personal victory but a testament to his vision, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the nation. As we enter a new era of progress and prosperity, his global influence is undeniable. A leader who has captured the hearts and minds of many, he continues to demonstrate his commitment to lead by example, setting the standard for what it means to be a true public servant.
Modi Ji’s journey has been one of unwavering determination and unparalleled vision. He is likely the only leader in India who has served as Chief Minister for four terms and is now beginning his third term as Prime Minister. He has always been at the forefront of India’s development, spearheading groundbreaking initiatives that have touched the lives of millions at the grassroots level. Let us take this opportunity to delve into his personal qualities, leadership style, and the transformative impact he has had on #Bharat.
From Humble Beginnings to National Leadership
His life story is an inspiration for almost all Indians. Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, a small town in Gujarat, his early life was full of hard work. He helped his father sell tea at a railway station, an experience that instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the struggles faced by ordinary Indians. This connection to his roots has remained a defining characteristic of his leadership. Furthermore, his early involvement with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh shaped his ideological foundation and leadership style. His commitment to the principles of discipline, self-reliance, and service to the nation became evident through his work with the RSS and later as the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2001.
Leadership Stint in Gujarat (2001-14)
Few would have dared to take on the task that Gujarat’s Chief Minister Shri Modi was given. There was a great deal of dissatisfaction since Bhuj and Kutch’s post-earthquake relief and rehabilitation efforts were failing. But instead of backing down, he launched an expansive disaster management initiative that became the pride of the country and was imitated by other states. But this was just the start. For the next 13 years, he worked towards a single objective: making Gujarat a state that is admirable.
The power sector reforms in Gujarat, particularly the feeder separation programme, were once thought to be unachievable. However, they have now been implemented, guaranteeing continuous power supply to the entire state with considerably reduced AT&C losses. Projects that were deemed unattainable included “Sujalam Sufalam,” which established a water grid for the state, the completion of the Sardar Sarovar Project, and the construction of the Statue of Unity, the tallest statue in the world and a fitting memorial to India’s “Iron Man,” Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Additionally, Gujarat’s transition from a state of traders to one of industries and its rise to prominence as a hub for private investment is commendable.
Transforming Vision into Action
“Modi Ji is not just a politician but a phenomenon.” This quotation aptly captures his ability to implement creative ideas into action, a defining characteristic of his leadership. He embodies the Indian concept of Sankalp se Siddhi, fully committing his body, mind, soul, and intellect to whatever he decides to achieve. He exemplifies Swami Vivekananda’s famous quote: “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”
For example, the Digital India campaign, which uses technology to improve public service accessibility and governance, has changed millions of lives, transforming an idea into reality. Today, India is being considered globally as already a “First World Nation for Digital Infrastructure”! Another initiative, “Make in India,” has been vigorously promoted by him, leading India towards being a “Global Powerhouse of Technology and Complex Manufacturing”. In a nutshell, he has steadfastly worked to dismantle antiquated and limiting frameworks over the past ten years. Under his governance, the Indian government has transformed from being a disruptive regulator to an economic facilitator.
As we look forward to Modi 3.0, it’s clear that this phase will be characterized by an even greater emphasis on innovation in sustainable development to become a prosperous India through inclusive growth for all.
Sustainable Development: A Green and Clean India
Modi 3.0 will place a strong emphasis on sustainability, renewable energy, reducing carbon emissions, and preserving natural resources. In his winning speech, he declared that India’s next era will be a Green Era, enabling green industrialization. To ensure sustainable development and achieve the target of reaching Net-Zero by 2070, a balance between environmental stewardship and economic growth will be prioritized. The government has already made significant contributions towards this goal through initiatives like the Production Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme, which aims to boost domestic manufacturing of high-efficiency solar modules and batteries, reducing reliance on imports, and fostering innovation in renewable energy technology. Additionally, the National Green Hydrogen Mission, another pivotal initiative under Modi Ji’s leadership, seeks to position India as a global hub for green hydrogen production, promoting hydrogen as a clean and sustainable energy source. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India will serve as the key regulatory and advocacy bodies, continually promoting renewable energy and raising awareness about the concept of a clean and green India among the population.
