President & Head - Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Business & New Initiatives

Mr. Prashant Choubey is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years of diversified experience across renewable energy, green hydrogen/green ammonia, C&I business, business development and Human resources. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and Delhi College of Engineering, he currently serves as President – Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia at Avaada Group, where he spearheads the company’s global green molecules strategy and business development.


He has led critical initiatives across energy transition, sustainability strategy, green hydrogen and green ammonia development, government and regulatory affairs, strategic HR, employer branding, and organization building. His leadership has been pivotal in shaping Avaada’s multi-state green hydrogen and green ammonia project pipeline, while strengthening the Group’s position as a trusted partner delivering sustainable, reliable renewable energy solutions to leading national and global corporations.


Under his stewardship, Avaada Group has received multiple industry recognitions, including being listed among the Top 50 Best Companies to Work for by The Times of India–Ascent and among the Top 10 Solar Companies in India etc.


Recognized as a distinguished voice in the clean energy sector, Mr. Choubey actively contributes to shaping dialogue on energy transition. He has delivered keynote speeches and presentations on renewables and green hydrogen at influential forums both in India and abroad spanning UAE, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, USA, Vietnam, Japan, and beyond. His experience and expertise is often leveraged by government institutions, and he regularly accompanies official delegations abroad—advancing India’s renewable leadership.


Before joining Avaada, he held positions at NHPC Limited (Govt. of India) and Reliance Infrastructure Limited. His early excellence was recognized with the Young Engineer Award (2001) from the Central Board of Irrigation and Power, Government of India.


With a blend of strategic foresight, policy insight, and people-centric leadership, Mr. Choubey continues to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy transformation and the global sustainability agenda.
