Initiatives
Empowering Women through Skills & Livelihoods
Through Avaada Nav Kiran Stitching Centres, we have trained around 15,000 women and girls across India in basic and advanced stitching, including industrial sewing machines. Beyond training and certification, we connect women with local industries and government contracts, support home-based entrepreneurship and provide stitching machines—including 40 industrial machines and numerous tailor-model machines—to help them turn skills into sustainable livelihoods.
Our skilling extends beyond stitching to crochet, golden thread embroidery, modern potli bags, jute products, mats, diya-making, six months long beauty and makeup courses, computer skills and other vocational trades. Women are trained to create contemporary, marketable products, while we help them reach customers through stalls and market linkages. In Jayapur, a Prime Minister’s Adopted Village, 75+ women have been earning for over 12 years and have achieved financial independence through our stitching initiative.
Creating Self-Reliant Communities
Our work reaches tribal villages of Sonbhadra, remote communities of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and beyond. We also train and employ women as teachers, centre managers, community mobilisers, computer and stitching trainers, while promoting kitchen gardening among women and women farmers to strengthen household nutrition and economic resilience. Through employment-linked initiatives, women are also gaining opportunities to work from home and contribute to family incomes.
We go beyond livelihoods to promote dignity, health and confidence through menstrual hygiene workshops, sanitary and washable sanitary pads distribution and other essential support for women and girls.

By empowering women through diverse skill development programs — including diya making, jute products, mats, computer training, and other vocational skills — we are enabling financial independence and fostering self-reliance. Beyond training, we also connect them to markets, ensuring their products find buyers and create sustainable livelihoods. Financial empowerment not only allows women to support their families but also helps them break free from societal prejudices. By nurturing confident, skilled, and independent women, we are unlocking India’s true potential and paving the way for inclusive growth.
Grooming Skills, Growing Futures
Our makeup artist and skincare classes have trained numerous women to become certified beauticians, equipping them with skills to generate their own income. With this economic empowerment, women are not only achieving financial independence but also uplifting their families from poverty towards prosperity, creating a ripple effect of growth and confidence within their communities.
Creating Opportunities, Building Independence
In collaboration with a leading telecom company, the Avaada Foundation has enabled homemakers in Jayapur, Varanasi to gain employment from the comfort of their homes with minimal training. This initiative has empowered women to achieve financial independence and contribute meaningfully to their families’ income. Beyond this, we have also employed several women as teacher support staff, field officers, and ground staff, ensuring greater participation of women in the workforce and fostering inclusive growth.
Physical Development through Sports
Avaada Foundation is committed to shaping brighter futures by giving rural youth a platform to play, grow, and pursue sports with confidence. We believe sports are more than competition; they build discipline, self-belief, and pathways to opportunity. To strengthen this vision, Avaada Foundation has signed a two-year MoU with Under-16 and Under-19 girls’ cricket teams, providing end-to-end support including travel for matches and tournaments, nutrition, sports jerseys, kits, shoes, equipment, practice facilities, logistics, and study materials; ensuring young athletes can focus fully on performance. Beyond grassroots efforts, Avaada Foundation proudly supports Olympians, para-athletes, and tribal athletes, sponsors the Indian Pickleball Team, and backs women’s and community sports across regions. Through day-night Kabaddi & volleyball tournaments, professional sports training, distribution of sports kits, and the revival of sports grounds, we continue to nurture talent where it matters most. Because when young people are given the right support, they don’t just play the game — they build confidence, chase dreams, and uplift entire communities.
Nurturing Youth & Championing Dreams
We support rural youth through skills, employment, mentoring and opportunities to pursue their aspirations. Our support for the Under-17 and Under-19 girls’ cricket teams of Badnu, Rajasthan, for the past 3 years, has helped five girls reach national-level cricket, with three progressing to net bowling, while around 100 girls have taken up cricket as a passion. We also support grassroots athletes, Olympians, para-athletes and tribal talent.
