Job Description:

Avaada is on the lookout for a proactive and dedicated Business and Sales Head for our Green Ammonia business in Japan and South Korea. This role is pivotal for an individual who can operate as a ‘single-man army’, driving Avaada’s green ammonia business growth across the region, focusing on securing customers for our 1.5 MTPA green ammonia production and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Sales and Business Development:

– Lead sales initiatives targeting key industries and sectors in Asian that utilise green ammonia.
– Secure customers for Avaada’s 1.5 MTPA green ammonia production, ensuring consistent business growth.
– Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential customers and partners.

2) Policy Advocacy and Compliance:

– Engage with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other relevant organizations to advocate for favorable policies for the green ammonia industry.
– Ensure Avaada’s green ammonia production is compliant with legislation, working closely with legal and regulatory teams.
– Stay updated with changes in legislation that might impact the green ammonia business and strategise accordingly.

3) Market Analysis:

– Conduct regular market analysis to understand the competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and emerging trends in the        green ammonia sector in region.
– Provide insights and recommendations to Avaada’s leadership based on market intelligence.

4) Operational Coordination:

– Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of green ammonia to customers.
– Coordinate with R&D and production teams to stay updated on product quality, enhancements, and innovations.


– Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent would be an advantage.
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in the ammonia or broader renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in sales   and business development in the Japan and South Korean market.
– Deep understanding of the green ammonia production process, its applications, and legislation related to green molecules.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to operate independently, showcasing leadership and decision-making skills.
– Willingness to travel frequently within region for business development and advocacy purposes.
